At YAYAS we are fortunate to have at our fingertips a fantastic set of renowned resources concerning historic York. Perhaps our most valuable resource is the knowledge in our members' heads, so please feel free to contact us if you have a specific or general query you feel we may be able to answer. Our more tangible resources consist of an impressive set of late 19th-early 20th Century glass-plate negatives containing many fantastic early photographs of York from the dawn of the camera, alongside a series of 35mm slides of more modern times. We also have comprehensive archives and a back-catalogue of York Historian, YAYAS' own academic journal, described here for the convenience of researchers and armchair academics alike!
